Day 18+19: more goodbyes and more phys

So Thursday night was the leaving party for one of our met team, Chris, and also one of the medics here.

The theme was tarts and vicars, and I'm sure you've all already seen from Facebook that my outfit was a bit of a fail! I had ordered "Naughty Nun" and instead was just sent "Nun". Perhaps a little too conservative!

The night was loads of fun, and they even let us have a go on the karaoke! The girls did a great speech for Chris, we are all ready sad that he is leaving us.

I woke on Friday with quite a hangover. It's only the second night I've had anything to drink since being here so a hangover is not a common feeling. My new laptop arrived on Thursday's airbridge (which I had ordered only 4 days before!!) and also my new Garmin watch. Even though I was feeling rough I really wanted to try it out.

I stood up and the room started to spin. Oh well. Only managed 4km and felt sick!!

After lunch we did the duck pond letter box walk.

The ground was much better going than the other two walks. No lava or clinker anywhere. But this was a level 3 walk, the reason being it was just a gert big hill with the letter box at the top. I was by far the slowest and had to stop often.

The views from the top were stunning. There was still a little pond, but the ducks had long gone - just some skanky rubber ducks instead!!

We raced back down the hill and back to Traveller's Hill to make our spin class in time.

Shattered. Another triple phys day. Early night.
